Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India @ Fort Mehrangarh

Truly a must see destination in India.  This is Fort Mehrangarh, what a sight to behold, that will no doubt have you awestruck.  Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts and also one of the most magnificent forts in Jodhpur, infact, in the whole Rajasthan. This fort is among one of the most popular tourist places in India.  It began in 1459 A.D. by Rao Jodha, a warrior prince of the Rathore Rajput clan, the Fort was expanded during the following 17 generations of Rathore rulers of Jodhpur.

Before you buy your ticket and enter the fort, walk to the edge of the parking lot for the first of the many panoramic views. The view one gets from this spot probably does not have a parallel anywhere in the world, as it is one of the largest fort structure in the world.  Find a place to relax and grab a bite to eat and look out into the wonder of this beautiful location, you will be transformed.  A moment that took me while resting on that edge of that lot, was a bird relaxing in the tree, flying down and stealing the food of some folks having lunch, and then flying back to that tree, then down here he comes again for more food.  It seems every living thing was really having a time of their own.

If coming from Bikaner, find a local to organize a train for you, for only 150 rupees you can travel by train from Bikaner to Jodhpur, verses a taxi at 3500 rupees, and trust me, the train ride is a million times better then taxi.  Enjoy the train ride, talk to the locals, and really have a feel for the real India. I enjoy travelling by train in India then taxi, no comparison bar none. It is a thrill ride !

Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India

Taken from the balcony of my favorite hotel in Coimbatore where I stay, a scenery of Coimbatore, one of my favorite places in India.  The climate is really nice and the hospitality from the locals is really great.  Centrally located near some of the best places in India to visit, like Ooty and Kodaikanal, just to name a few, I will share pics and info on both those places soon.

Coimbatore is a great place to visit for a layover before you head out to the other nearby locations, and it is within hours of some of the best sites throughout South India.  Coimbatore is my home away from home, I keep coming back to this lovely city, this place feels like home in my heart and soul.  I was smitten with Coimbatore my very first visit and now I have no other option then to keep coming back home.  This lovely city is truly a gem in South India.

Cherai Beach, Kerala, India

Kerala, one of my favorite places in India.  At Cherai Beach Resort, this place is the ultimate.  If you want to unwind and have ocean front accommodations then this is the place to stay.  The resort itself is one of a kind, you will not be disappointed.  Kerala also known as "Gods Own County" is truly a saying that lives up to its words.  Kerala is incredible beautiful and the food is out of this world.  Many more experiences and locations in Kerala to come, please stay tuned.

Bikaner, Rajasthan, India

My friends and I in Bikaner, Rajasthan.  We all had a great time.  The lunchtime thali they served me was so delicious, and for dessert I had the best ras malai in my life.  Bikaner is famous for sweets. Bikaner sweets is a must have in India.  My entire trip to Bikaner was one of the best times I had in India.  The camel park was so much fun.  Of course, I will never forget the famous Karni Mata Temple, that was the highlight of my Bikaner trip.

Fort Cochin, Kerala, India

Taken at Fort Cochin, Kerala.  Several fishermen were showing me how they pull in the catch of the day using their nets, it was really interesting.  This fisherman next to me was showing me some different types of Kerala fish.  They had a bad day and did not catch anything that day, so I gave them some rupees for showing me around the boat and how they bring in the fish.  Looks like I was the catch of the day, they got some rupees out of me, and after all, it was so much fun, and I was so glad to help the fishermen out.  Fort Cochin is a must see in Kerala, among so many other places in Kerala.  I will share more later about Kerala and all the cool places.  Kerala is one of my favorite holiday places in India :-)

Bikaner, Rajasthan, India @ The Gaushala Cow Farm

Namaste !  This was truly one of my most joyous and memorable moments in India.  In Bikaner, this was at "save the cow farm" it was totally awesome to hug the beautiful cows and make them feel appreciated, after all, the cow is the mother and most loving animal on the planet.  They give us the most nutritious foods possible; milk, cheese, ghee, curd, etc. and their love towards humankind is nutritious for our souls.

Can you believe they actually have an ambulance dedicated just for the cows.  When they are injured, the ambulance comes and picks up the cows, and they are cared for back to health at this farm.  Wow, that is totally awesome and amazing love !
